Project Background

V7 needed a more sustainable inner packaging solution for its computer monitor products, aiming to replace traditional EPS foam while maintaining reliable protection for fragile screens and electronic components during retail and e-commerce distribution.

The Challenge

Computer monitors are highly sensitive to screen pressure, corner impact, and vibration during transportation. Traditional EPS foam provides cushioning but is difficult to recycle and takes up significant storage space. The client required a paper-based alternative that could protect the display panel, stabilize the monitor body, and support large-volume logistics.

Our Solution

We developed a custom molded pulp insert system based on the monitor’s structure and shipping requirements. The tray uses reinforced corner protection, screen-safe spacing, and deep positioning cavities to keep the monitor stable inside the carton. The stackable pulp design also improves warehouse and transportation efficiency while replacing foam with a recyclable paper-based solution.

Key Results

The new packaging solution exceeded expectations in both performance and sustainability metrics.

Integrated Clamshell Molded Pulp Wine Insert

Project Background

A premium mead brand needed a sustainable packaging solution for e-commerce direct shipping. The brand wanted to replace EPS foam with molded pulp while maintaining reliable protection for fragile glass bottles during courier handling and long-distance delivery.

The Challenge

Traditional split pulp trays require separate top and bottom parts, which increases assembly time and creates a risk of tray misalignment during transportation. For glass bottle shipping, even small movement can lead to impact damage or breakage. The client needed a single-piece, fully enclosed, plastic-free structure that could pass strict e-commerce drop testing.

Our Solution

We developed an integrated clamshell molded pulp insert based on the bottle’s exact profile. The top and bottom sections are connected in one piece, allowing workers to fold and close the insert around the bottle in one step. Built-in locking tabs secure the structure without tape or straps, while reinforced ribs and suspended cushioning zones protect the bottle shoulder and base from impact.

Biodegradable Molded Pulp Cat Litter Box

Project Background

With the rapid growth of the pet care market, consumers are looking for more hygienic, convenient, and eco-friendly alternatives to traditional plastic cat litter boxes.

The Challenge

Plastic litter boxes can develop scratches, retain odors, and become difficult to clean after long-term use. The client wanted a natural, disposable solution suitable for daily hygiene, travel, boarding, and temporary pet care scenarios.

Our Solution

We developed a biodegradable molded pulp cat litter box made from natural plant fibers. The structure features a distinctive cat-ear design for stronger visual identity, while its optimized size allows it to be used either as a standalone litter box or as a disposable liner inside existing plastic trays. A safe moisture-resistant treatment was added to improve leak resistance and structural stability.

Black Wet-Press Molded Pulp Laptop Insert

Project Background

A global computer brand needed a zero-plastic packaging solution for its premium flagship laptop line. The project aimed to replace plastic trays and protective bags while maintaining a refined unboxing experience suitable for high-value consumer electronics.

The Challenge

Premium laptops require strict protection against shock, vibration, scratches, and dust. Ordinary molded pulp trays can have a rougher surface, which may not be suitable for direct contact with anodized aluminum laptop bodies. The client needed a smooth, dust-free, high-precision tray that could protect the device without any plastic film or foam.

Our Solution

We developed a custom black wet-press molded pulp insert using selected plant fibers and eco-friendly black dye. Through high-precision wet pressing and double-sided hot pressing, the tray achieved a smooth contact surface, clean geometry, and accurate product positioning. The structure allowed the laptop to sit directly inside the pulp insert without a plastic bag, supporting a full zero-plastic packaging system.

Black Wet-Press Molded Pulp Gaming Headset Insert

Project Background

A premium gaming accessories brand wanted to replace traditional plastic blister inserts with a zero-plastic packaging system for its flagship gaming headset. The goal was to create a more sustainable package without losing the high-end, technology-driven unboxing experience expected by gaming consumers.

The Challenge

Over-ear gaming headsets have complex geometry, uneven weight distribution, and multiple vulnerable areas such as earcups, headband, and microphone components. A single bottom tray could not fully lock the product in place, leading to movement, surface friction, and potential damage during cross-border e-commerce transportation.

Our Solution

We created a black wet-press molded pulp system using matching top and bottom trays. The bottom tray holds the headset in position, while the top tray is fixed to the inner lid of the box. When closed, both trays form a 3D clamping structure that secures the product without foam, plastic bags, or additional fixing materials. The smooth matte-black wet-press surface also improves scratch resistance and premium presentation.

White Wet-Press Molded Pulp Insert for Stainless Steel Lemon Squeezer

Project Background

A kitchenware brand wanted to upgrade the packaging for its stainless steel lemon squeezer from a basic paperboard insert to a more premium, plastic-free molded pulp solution. The product is small but heavy, with a polished metal surface that requires both stable positioning and scratch protection during retail and e-commerce shipping.

The Challenge

The lemon squeezer has an irregular curved profile and a high-density metal body. Ordinary flat paper inserts could not hold the product securely, while plastic blister packaging conflicted with the brand’s sustainability direction. The client needed an inner tray that could improve presentation, prevent metal-to-carton friction, and remain clean enough for a premium kitchenware product.

Our Solution

We developed a custom white wet-press molded pulp insert based on the product’s exact shape. The tray was designed with a snug-fit cavity, raised edge support, and a smooth wet-press surface to reduce movement and surface abrasion. The clean white finish also helped create a more refined retail display while keeping the packaging fully paper-based and recyclable.

Heavy-Duty Molded Pulp Insert for Home Towel Warmer

Project Background

A home appliance brand needed to replace EPS foam packaging for its towel warmer to meet growing sustainability requirements from e-commerce platforms and offline retail channels. The product had to be suitable for Amazon-style direct shipping as well as palletized transportation for large retail chains.

The Challenge

The towel warmer is a large-volume household appliance with a round body and sensitive top control panel. The packaging had to absorb drop impact, prevent compression damage, and maintain product stability during both courier delivery and bulk warehouse handling. At the same time, the client wanted to eliminate foam without increasing packaging complexity.

Our Solution

We designed a set of heavy-duty molded pulp inserts with deep positioning cavities for the round base and top section. Reinforced ribs were added around high-stress areas to improve compression strength and impact absorption. The final structure converted the package into a fully paper-based system using only an outer carton and molded pulp inner supports.
